“Started 2023 traveling & ended 2023 traveling. 2024 will be no different.”
We wrapped up 2023 in the best way possible: on the road, with family, sunshine, laughter, and great food. Our winter break adventure took us from San Diego, California to Ensenada, Mexico, and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to one year and step joyfully into the next.
San Diego, California
We kicked things off in San Diego, one of my favorite cities for a mix of fun, family, and beautiful coastal views.
Highlights included:
SeaWorld: From roller coasters to marine life shows, this was a big hit for all ages.
Sunsets on the beach. Every night felt like magic painted across the sky.
So. Much. Food. San Diego never disappoints when it comes to tacos, seafood, and coffee shops.
Quality time. Most importantly, we laughed, explored, and made memories together as a family.
Ensenada, Mexico
Just a short drive down the coast, we crossed the border into beautiful Baja California and headed to Ensenada. 5-star Airbnb. Comfortable, stylish, and perfectly located. A stay that surpassed a home-away-from-home. The home overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean with breathtaking views from every room in the house. Large private pool and jacuzzi and décor that makes you feel you’re living a truly luxurious lifestyle. Top notch!

“From the laid-back beaches of San Diego to the vibrant streets of Ensenada, this trip was a perfect blend of California calm and Baja soul.”
Here’s what we loved most:
La Bufadora – The blowhole was just as mesmerizing as I remembered. Nature at its finest! The kids loved this!! Make sure to try the grilled clams with melted cheese and salsa- Life changing…Literally heaven in my mouth- So good!
Street food gems. Authentic tacos, churros, and fresh seafood. We ate our way through the city.
Beaches & breezes. A slower pace, quieter shores, and that unmistakable charm of Mexico.
New Year’s Eve celebration: We rang in 2024 surrounded by family, love, and gratitude. It was joyful, loud, full of music, food, and toasted to another year of memories.
Make even more beautiful memories with my family
I’m deeply grateful for another year. A year of growth, lessons, laughter, and love. 2023 gave me so much, and 2024 already feels like it’s holding something special.
Final Thoughts
Travel isn’t just about places, it’s about presence. Whether I’m on a roller coaster in San Diego, watching the waves in Ensenada, or dancing into the New Year with my favorite people, I’m reminded that the real gift is the moment. Here’s to more moments in 2024.
